Northeastern Insurance is excited to announce that we have officially completed our second Annual Volunteer Week this June! After last year’s Volunteer Week, our agency couldn’t wait to continue the tradition in our local community. Our Volunteer Week was held from June 10th-14th, where the agency dedicated each day to a different local organization to volunteer our services. For the first day, five of our agents volunteered for the Salvation Army of Albany.
An international organization that helps provide services and resources to help cure hunger, combat addiction, help disaster survivors, overcome poverty, and empower the youth. The organization is headquartered at 20 S Ferry St. Albany, NY 12202.
Our first group teamed up with the organization to volunteer at the Giffen Memorial Elementary School. Northeastern Insurance employees prepared over 100 hot dog meals with ice cream and sweet tea. Once all the food was cooked and ready to go, our team delivered everything in the Salvation Army’s Food Truck to the children at the elementary school. They prepped hot dogs and ice cream for the students to their liking to enjoy before heading home after the school day.
Volunteering for the Salvation Army of Albany had such a positive impact on our agency. “My experience helping serve the community with the Salvation Army was truly memorable. Seeing all those smiles brought such joy”, Assistant Branch Manager, Gina Litz said, in regards to her time volunteering for the organization.

Thank you for having us! Stay tuned for Day 2 of our Volunteer Week to see where we help out next!
